Earlier Practice

The role I work in today is rooted in design and emerged gradually through several distinct environments, each shaping a different aspect of how I think and operate. What carried through all of it was a persistent interest in how systems hold together, communicate clearly, and remain coherent across many layers at once. That orientation later merged with technical practice and evolved into how I work today.

My professional practice began in 2004 with the gradual learning of craft fundamentals through early freelance and studio work. From there, its development can be traced through four recurring domains presented below. Some work from this period remains visible on Behance and Cargo Collective.

Art & Experimental Stage – Sweet Content

Co-ran Sweet Content, an independent collaborative project producing limited-edition merchandise and collectible objects with internationally recognized illustrators and artists. Developed together with close friends, including digital artist Evgeny Kiselev, it became an early space for experimentation with physical product production and collaborative creation.

Business Stage — Imagine CS

Co-founded a communication agency together with a partner from the advertising industry, working with business and enterprise clients across branding, communication design, and digital presence. Our clients included Ernst & Young, PwC, Syngenta, Itella, and other large organizations. This period taught me how creative work functions inside real business environments — how to work with stakeholders, navigate constraints, and deliver strong work under practical demands.

2009–2011

Cultural Stage

Collaborated extensively with theatres, galleries, festivals, cultural institutions, and creative spaces on identities and communication systems across promotional and editorial formats. This work deepened my sensitivity to symbolism, narrative, and atmosphere — and to the way design shapes how meaning is perceived, felt, and communicated.

2011–2018

Agency Stage

Worked as an external contractor with a range of agencies across digital product design, UX/UI, art direction, and visual identity. The work spanned diverse industries, project types, and team structures, demanding fast immersion into unfamiliar contexts and the ability to contribute fluidly across both strategy and execution. This period sharpened my ability to quickly understand complex problem spaces and design within shifting organizational realities.
